Hi,

My pioneer A32r integrated amp would not accept the banana plug terminated on my spekaer cable

Is it possible to remove the banana plug? (Or is it okay I just cut off the part with the termination on?)

Thank you

It will take a long time most likely before the oxidation gets bad at which point you could just cut it off and strip to expose new wire. You could also "tin" the bare wire with solder if you have a gun.

Oxidation IIRC doesn't effect impedance at all so it is not really an issue just a cosmetic thing. Nothing to worry about really.

You can also solder on spades of various shapes that might work better.
