Thanks to earlier advice on this forum, I've discovered AudioRelay which lets me send audio from my HTPC & Nvidia Shield TV streaming device to my cellphone over WiFi.
My cellphone then sends that audio over bluetooth to my earbuds (razer & bose, depending on activity).
Apt-X.
This works great except for one thing.
Latency.
If I'm watching the TV, I'm seeing about one second of latency.
It's highly annoying.
Are there any other options out there that can help reduce the latency?
My Galaxy A40 has about 1.25 seconds of latency while my Pixel 7 has about .75 seconds of latency.
Doesn't sound like much but when you're watching TV and see the lips move without corresponding sound... argh.
