iPod Suffle - Hot or Not?

This is kind of an aside to the "New iPod Shuffle" thread.

Is the new iPod Suffle Hot or Not. (BTW: Anyone can vote, even fanboys and haters!)

The iPod /iPod photo are nice, but the Suffle imo is horrible. I don't see why no lcd screen is a plus. I guess you don't need the screen when you will only have random music. But if you like random then a screen wont be in the way. I will get a Flash player for my sport activites, probably an iriver or another lcd screen equiped flash player.

It is a plus because it brings the price way down versus a comparable player. Find me another reputable 512 mb player for 99 dollars.

It would have been a little better if they added a screen, and $149 for a 1gig? You can get a Sandisk 1gig player with a screen for $119 on Buy.com.

Sure it is cheaper, but the iPod is not cheap, and look how well it has done.

Sandisk? Are you kidding me they cant even make good SD cards that last more than a year. Hifi people recommending Sandisk players. This is the day!

Omitting the screen... not a good idea.

Is this only shuffle play thing for real or just a rumor? If it is true, it has killed any interest I might ever have in this device. Some people like to listen to albums, kthnx.

I'm going to stay nice and happy with my cute pink Mini. =P

No screen- so it has to either to follow your (one) play-list or play it at random. As what else can you do with a screen?
