Yeah, maybe the expectation was a bit too high.. however, if he had brought it out at even $200.. it would've been a much more sensible purchase..

At $250, accompany the announcement the lowest end iPod is being upgraded to 15GB... $50 more gets you 15GB... as opposed to 4GB.

It's not just 60%... hmm...

What about the 20GB iPod then? $100 from the 15GB?

Oh yeah, there *is* a scroll wheel, just that button is combined onto top of the scrollwheel now. So tap will get you button functions, scroll wheel still works.

i gotta say, i was psyched, but i'm a bit disappointed. mostly in the price. Hmmm. $250 for 4gb or $299 for 15gb?? what's up with that? i mean, flash players have their advantages, and the mini is considerably smaller, but for $50 more i'd rather have the ipod.

I think everyone was so hyped for a $100 HD player that anything less than that, still i think they priced this one wrong...I don't see it doing well.

Umm, I'm not so sure about that design. The disc going out to the edge like that looks a little off, no?

Anyway, did I hear Jobs call it a flash based player (chopping stream caused me to miss a bit of every sentence)?

Seems the price point is a little high. Not exactly low end (which he sort of defined as "those $50 players" several times).

jobs is a crackhead... he compares iPod mini (hard drive) to a Rio player with flash memory.. no, not a Rio player like Nitrus that is somewhat comparable. this is insane.

no, let's not compare iPod to Karma, either. Apple would get TORN UP.
