Hi all,

I've been using a 30 gig Gen5 Ipod for the last few years. I love it to death, but it's finally starting to die on me. So I'm looking for a new ipod. I don't use it for anything but music, so I'm not looking at the Touch or Iphone. I need a front display, so the Shuffle is out. That leaves the Classic and Nano to choose from. Capacity is not a huge issue, as my current Ipod is only using about 10 gig of space.

My big question is...... Is there a difference in sound quality, between the Classic and Nano? Back when I got my Gen5, it was far better sounding than the Nano. There was a night and day difference. The amp on the Nano couldn't even drive my Sure earphones properly, most likely due to impedance issues. Are things still the same in the Ipod world, with the Classic having the better overall sound quality? Or has ipod finally started putting a quality amp in the Nano?
