Hey guys, I am wanting to add an audio jack to the Turtle Beach Earforce Z11 headset that has recently had a short in the cable on the end of the headset. By this, I mean that I am attempting to make this headset similar to the Beats Studio headset where you have to have your own auxiliary cable to use them, instead of the cable being wired in. I have picked up a plug with five leads. The plug is pictured below, along with the circuit board of the headset and the wires. Sorry, as they are pretty bad photos. I soldered some of the wires to the leads on the plug, but as I pretty much expected, it did not work. Is this possible and could anyone point me in the correct direction as to which wires I need to solder to the leads? If it's not, that's fine, as I got about three good years out of them and already have a replacement, but wanted a good project along with a creative way of repair. Thanks.

If you post really clear photos of the labels on the circuit board we may be able to help you out.

I would assume there are the 3 standard audio terminals plus maybe 2 mic terminals if it's 5. Usually mic is just 1 extra I believe but maybe this one is special

Which of these wires are actually connected to the cable that comes out of the headset?
