Hi,
I recently purchased a Yamaha CRX-N470 mini hifi system for my wife to listen in our bedroom. We thought it was heads above all the other minisystems we listened to (didn't get a chance to hear the famous Denon one though) It came with some Yamaha stereo speakers model NS-BP150. Seeing I know nothing about and cannot find much info on those speakers, my question is this: would it be worth upgrading to some good speakers? We listen to a bit of everything but mostly classical, new age, some pop vocals etc. Whathifi recommends Q-3020 speakers, another site recommended Elipson Prestige Facet 8B or Dali Zensor 3. I'm thinking a budget of 200-300$ unless something is exceptionally better than the rest just above that price bracket. But will we hear a major difference vs those Yamaha speakers? and which bookshelves would YOU recommend? This is sadly going to end up being an online order without hearing because we cannot find any stores nearby with those kind of speakers to listen to. So we're leaving it in you experts' hands! :) We have Paradigm monitor 9s in living room with Anthem MRX310 so we're not super high end but we do like hifi!!
