Since I’m on a roll looking for wireless Bluetooth control remotes for DX220 MAX, here is another cool discovery VR Glasses BT remote, no brand (on ebay for about $7, uses 2xAAA), very small, works with Android and iOS, and has a music control mode. You can Play/Pause, Volume up/down, use joystick to Skip forward/back and also to Fast forward/back. Plus, two trigger buttons, one works for Play/Pause and another for Mute/Unmute. All works perfectly with MAX, and most likely other android/ios devices.
I can't embed the video link from my site, so view it HERE.
The coolest part about it, in addition to play/pause/skip/volume, you also get mute (using one of the trigger buttons) and you can use joystick to fast forward/back. The second trigger button can also be used for play/pause. This is generic BT remote, so should work with any device or tv. It is small, but on the go media button BT remote will be more convenient, while at home this will be more useful and easier to handle, and uses regular AAA batteries.

Driving the latest Abyss with the Max. It drives them and ok, no clipping etc. but prefer them out of the Manley Absolute or the LTA Z10e. The Abyss need a lot of juice to run well. Other planars like the latest from Mr. Speakers do fine and sound full and a good complement to the music.

So, will the MAX be as delightful to listen to as driving a British sports car is? I'm loading music to it and will be plugging the brand new Focal Clear into it for the next 10 non-stop days, whew.

So, I'm loadiing some DSD512 albums to the MAX internal memory. Long process, right? While I'm doing that I'm listening to the DX228-EX with DS512 copy of Rock Candy Funk Party-Groove Is King saying to myself Damn, that's just delicious. No doubt about why I do this.
Oh yes, Focal Clear right out of the box too.
