...not at the same time. Right now I am using Roon and a Sonore SOSE running USB into an Emotiva Stealth DC-1. That's a DAC/Pre-amp/headphone amp. Also, I can listen to records using the analog input and a phono pre-amp.
I'd like to figure out how to do this using Schitt products, maybe a Gungnir/Mjolnir 2 combo. The amp will do the haedphone/powered speaker thing very well, I understand. But I can't figure out the analog in/analog out part for the records.
I would love to hear what their multibit dac is all about, but I don't want a pile of equipment on my desk. I just don't see myself buying any dsd files (if that's what you call them) so I am way more interested in the best sound I can get for my mostly 16/44.1 and a few higher resolution files and streaming from Tidal. Any ideas? Any other equipment I should be looking at? Maybe a good DAC-less stereo preamp with a good headphone section.
By the way, speakers are powered Dynaudio bookshelves on Target stands and headphones are Grado GS1000e.
