I've lost my little velvet pouch.
Anyone got a suggestion for a carrying case to put the HM-801 in my messenger bag (with other stuff joggling around in there).

Or should I just email head-direct for a new velvet pouch?

EDIT: A Google search for "walkman (lol) tape carrying case" found me this:

Think its worth a try?

I am using a generic camera case you can find at BestBuy/Target etc.  It works fine though doesn't help me at the gym.

How hard would it be for HeadDirect to get someone to design a leather case for this?  I mean my Pico DAC/amp was like $15 bucks.  There is a custom one running around on this forum but its WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.

I just took my 801 to walmart and tried every hard drive case until I found one that I liked. The one I have has a kind of hard shell for added protection.

The Tamrac digital camera case that I use unfortunately isn't made anymore.

However a quick trawl of their website (www.tamrac.com) produced the 5689 and 5692 in the Digital Series, both of which should fit and carry a memory card or two.

I have an extra HM-801 pouch.  PM me your shipping address and I will mail it to you.

I've been using this hard drive case from Wenger:  http://www.amazon.com/Black-Legacy-Portable-Hard-Drive/dp/B003JT3U4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1291830936&sr=8-1

It has a velcro opening on the back side for SD cards/interconnects, the inside has bumpy "shock absorbers", and it has a lifetime warranty.  Not bad for $11.  Of course, it doesn't have a hole on the top for the headphone out or a transparent front to see the HM-801's display, but I just leave the zipper side open and use the line-out.

If only we could get along in real life (countries) like we do on Head-Fi.

The world would be such a better place.

I recently got a DS hard case for my HM-801, a perfect fit.
The only problem being that it couldn't stay in the case when being played

I looked here and elsewhere for a hard case that could be used when playing music, and I
can't really find anything suitable.

So I just made a hole in the DS case, perfect,
the DT1350 plug being straight, is a PITA, an L shaped
plug would be even better, but a simple hole seems to be the perfect solution and very cheap.

I think this works really well, I just need to keep an eye on the heat, but I rarely use it for more than 30 mins at a
time anyway.

didn't realise how dirty the DT1350s were !, must give them a clean
