Yeah, it's different but it's a cool design of pop culture and I've always liked the pizza logo. Yeah not everybody likes Dominos pizza but these watches tend to pop up on eBay for relative cheap prices on eBay for less than $3000 which is a good price for a Rolex. Now if there was a Rolex with the Subway sandwich logo on it, I would never get it because their sandwiches are terrible but pizza is very popular in society and Rolex watches are also highly valued so in a way, it makes an artistic statement about our society.

Plus, if you do see a Rolex Dominos watch at a relative low price, you know it's a real Rolex because a Rolex counterfeiter would never try to copy that.

That is a very good point. The cell phone is more accurate too when it comes to time.

Personally, I don't like to pull out my cell phone just to look at the time. It's somewhat cumbersome as if I am pulling out a pocket watch.

Also in work industries and jobs, where being on time is important, looking at your cell phone does not look good. For example if you are a school teacher, it's more appropriate to have a watch or if you are a police officer and others types of occupation as well.

Commonly in industry, I see workers wearing a G Shock Casio type watch which is reliable and cheap in price.

Yes I believe it can be true. I've never owned one but there are people out there who are afficiandos of the brand. The feeling is probably warm and fuzzy inside.

I still don't get it...what's so special about rolex watches...it's just a watch you wear on your wrist to tell time.  Nowadays you have your cell phone to tell time.

My ex's Dad was so happy with his because it never needed repairs for the almost forty years he's owned it apart from getting it cleaned (for free, actually, at the Rolex dealer) every two years or so, and for him it's the only kind of jewelry that men should wear. He doesn't like using his phone because it runs on batteries. However, once it was explained to him (like, just last year, probably) that smartphones synchronize to a global (and local timezone) level as long as he can connect to the internet and he can bring along a powerbank, he finally bought a smartphone. Still uses his Rolex though, and he still says that apart from a wedding ring, men should only wear a timepiece, since any other piece of jewelry on a man makes one look like a blinged up gangster.

That said I'm more of a Seamaster kind of guy save for watches commemorating sports cars or races, and to be honest any added logo on such timepieces that isn't some bad-ass technical marvel (like a yellow shield with a black horse, or a yellow shield with black stripes and a black horse)  I wouldn't spend on a Rolex; I'd just wait for Swatch to come out with one. I had a black (don't laugh) Hello Kitty Swatch before but when it broke my Mom tossed it out.

From many perspectives, there are a lot of nice watches out there, whether it's a Rolex or Russian made watches during the communist era or that 1950s Hamilton that was worn by a New York City businessman, etc..

But probably the coolest watch IMO are the military pilots watches from the 1940s World War 2 era.

Here is a reissue from LACO watch company I found on the Internet
