Damn that sucks.

How'd they break in, BTW? Reebok lock pick? Jimmied door with the frame spread?

I guess you could replace the locks with much better ones in the meantime. I had a great thread about better dead bolts going on here before. Since the crash of '06 I don't have it saved anymore, can't find it.

I ended up with a Mul-T-Lock Hercular Deadbolt.

I’ve been robbed in Brooklyn, NY about 10 years ago and had about $2000 worth of camera equipment stolen as the robber smashed my car window.

On the positive side, the camera gear that got stolen was a blessing in disguise because it made me realize that it was the wrong gear for me and as I focused on a more minimal cheaper new camera rig, it actually made me a better photographer.

The lesson learned was that gear is not everything when it comes to hobbies and being creative.
