Hi, just trying to get my mind sorted about 566.24, I can get one for around 600 USD and I am wondering is it clever buy or not for my second system. I have Thule 150B CDP as well as Pioneer DV370 DVD and one of them will act as a transport (ECD-1 is a DAC in my main rig).
Just wondering if 566.24 is worth of considering, having in mind a number of giant killers out there. My thought was that if it is a good player than its resale value (brand, sound quality etc) might make it reasonable buy on the top of a good sound.
Any comments on its sound - I'm after rather neutral, smooth performer to play within a system that is on a neutral, realistic and smoothish side of things....
Another question - anyone has any experience with Van den Hul First Ultimate as a digital coax cable? There is 0.6m on sale for a decent money here and I am tempted, I just hope they are transparent and fast enough and they don't mask the upper freq's as I thought VdH cables usually do.
