Hey guys, just looking for some tips here.

I'm building a mini arcade cabinet and want to install one small sub and two small speakers. The space I'm thinking of adding the sub is seen here (http://m.imgur.com/qP8ufsc). The bottom of the cabinet actually sits about 1/2" above the ground so I figured I would cut a hole for this 6.5" speaker (http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/55-3230?scode=GS401) and install it right in the bottom facing down.

Is it better to face it into the cabinet? I really have no clue whatsoever. The smaller speakers I'll wire facing out the front and put small covers over them. Less concerned about those than doing the sub right even though it's small.

Plan to use this amp (http://www.parts-express.com/lepai-lp-168ha-21-2x40w-mini-amplifier-1x68w-sub-output--310-308) to power it all.

Thanks for any suggestions, open to alternatives, trying to avoid just buying a 2.1 system, I've tried two and neither fit the cabinet. I think building is probably the way to go. Also trying to keep it somewhat on the cheap. The entire cabinet is only around $200, so installing a $200 speaker system isn't really something I plan to do.

Thank you VERY much for any input.

You know this is a headphone forum and you are asking questions about building a subwoofer (lol)

I'd suggest asking over at this DIY speaker and sub forum: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/155-diy-speakers-subs/

Ah, thanks, I thought this was just general audiophiles. The head part of head-fi makes sense. I've asked a few other forums and I think I'm just going to go 2.0 instead of 2.1 anyway now. Building a sub inside this seems far more effort compared to the small payoff.
