Hi everyone!

I have with me a pair of D7000s for about 3 years now. Been trying to sell it on local forums but no luck.
A local audiophile recommended me to try selling it on head-fi (which I did consider but afraid of chargebacks via paypal)

So my questions are:

Since I've never sold any physical products online before and paypal gift is not advised for buyers, how do I go about protecting myself from chargebacks?

How much should I sell them for? Am thinking of around 700USD (I'll pay shipping cost). I'd say they are in pretty good condition, cosmetic wise. Left cable guard came loose and ear pads worned out from usage. Drivers are in perfect condition (which is the most important thing yeah?)

$700 is pretty fair. If you have the ability to solder at all, I can send you a new strain reliefs ("cable guard") from a new Th-X00 that I have so you can install it, no charge. I've got like 8 of them sitting here now and won't need them, just holding onto them for occasions like this; to revive a classic.

D7000's with Lawton cups and dampening can sell here from $800-$1100 USD based on the condition of them, stock sets go for $700-850 or so, based on what I see in the classifieds that I check VERY often.

Good luck with the sale! I'm sure there is someone here eager to see a D7000 ad pop up. If you don't want the strain reliefs, just add in the classified that I will mail them to the buyer if they want.

Hey Peterek, I'd rather not mess with the headphones before selling them off. I will however add it in the classified if they want to get some from you, thanks!

I guess $700 is enough to make me happy (plus maybe shipping depending on location) as I just realize the cost for shipping is insane over here in Singapore.

Thanks once again!

EDIT: Oh, you gotta be a month old and have 15 posts on head-fi to post in the sale forum. Eek, should've made an account ages ago.
