How loud does your Ipod headphoneout get with Senn 580/600?

I can turn mine up completely and it's still OK, loud but not ears hurting. Half is not loud enough, maybe 3/4 gets used most. My SB Live headphone output is much louder. Just curious because i got an US ipod but using it on a German Setup, i wonder the Volume Limit got activated through software while installing itunes/ipod software.

No, that's about right. The Senns can be powered (if lifeless) by the iPod at near max volume. That's no slight to the iPod. It really shouldn't do any better.

With the IHP, it gets fairly loud as well (650 anways). And it's as lifeless as a broken mannequin at filenes.
