How good is the Sennheiser - HD 433?

Depends what you want them for. The first headphones I ever owned were Senn HD 435, which I liked. They broke, and at the time, the closest available replacement was the 433, which looks the same, but doesn't sound half as good. For my use, i.e. classical music, it sounds horrific. Extremely tinny sound, except for fat mid bass. Not that easy to drive from a portable either. In it's favour, it's quite comfortable, with a large, soft ear pad that sits on the outside of the ear. It is also light, and the ear pieces can be detached from the headband for convenient travel. I seem to remember the web site advertises it as designed for rock music, which IMHO is never a good advert for a headphones abilities playing any kind of music.

What are they selling for?

In this price range, it's kinda hard to beat the Koss clip-ons, most notably the KSC-75. As for Senns, HD201s are fairly decent for inexpensive closed cans.
