I have a Bifrost with Uber analog upgrade and a Asgard 2 powering my HE 500. I was thinking of upgrading the Asgard 2 to something like the Lyr+,Jotunheim, or Asgard 3 for some more power. Some of these newer amps have the option to add a DAC board for 100 or so bucks, which made me wonder if my current Bifrost w/ Uber is outclassed by the add in boards? If its similar I am not too worried about it, I prefer to keep my DAC and Amp separate so I can upgrade each individually when the time comes, but if I am taking a large downgrade by doing so, then I would consider doing the all in one option.
