I recently bought a great VAIO S that, as most laptops, has a little problem: the onboard soundcard`s quality is suited only for minor applications.
I, by no means, consider myself an audiophile in terms of knowledge, even though I spend about 6 to 8 hours a day listening to music. In order to solve the problem, I bought the famous E10 and, despite greatly improving the sound quality, it does not even come close to the X-Fi Titanium Fatality I had on my desktop computer and I know this wasn't one of the bests soundcards either. The sound is not "clean" nor as defined as it was on the X-Fi. I'm using the Sennheiser HD555 modded to HD595.
Do you think the E17 is such a great improvement to justify almost twice the price? I could send back the E10 and get the E17...
Thanks
