How do people typically go about doing trades on here without getting scammed? Is it just on a trust policy? Like u got good reviews and so do i so lets trade or is a middleman involved that recieves the packages and sends them to their respective buyers once both have arrived?

You both pay each other the same amount via PayPal Goods and Services. The value should cover the used market value of the item you're trading.

For example... let's say you trade your Arya Organic for an HD800S, and both are roughly valued at $800. The buyer pays you $800. You pay the buyer $800.

If the other party doesn't send the HD800S or it's broken, you still have $800 for your Arya less the fees and shipping costs. You'd have to open a claim to get your money back for unsent or not as described goods.

Ah ok thats an interesting way of going about a trade. Coming from the card market we typically use a trusted admin of the page as a middleman and once both packages are recieved by him he then sends them out to their respective buyers for a small fee. Is that a possible alternative on here as well or is the method u mentioned kinda the only one?

There's escrow services but finding someone you both trust to broker the trade and check both items then ship them to the other might be difficult. You could sell to each other on eBay and refund each other, but it's still down to trusting who would run it first.
If you want to sell something, I'd wait a couple of weeks to see if new inventory of your item runs out of U.S. warehouse stock. Then your stuff used might go up in price.

So far in my experience its entirely based on trust and Paypal goods and services for transaction protection. Fortunately the culture of the hobby seems kind and I haven't encountered scammers yet. It helps to be able to look at post history
