Hi everyone! Up until now, I have always used all my headphones unamped straight out of the headphone jacks on my portable players/PC soundcard, but recently I thought of getting a Yuin PK1 earbud but heard that they really need an amp. Plus, amping my Shure SE530 and getting the most out of my other headphones and sources will also be great. Thus, I just thought of getting a Yuin PK1 + Minibox-E combo from head-direct, but then I realized that I have zero experience with amps and no idea how to connect the amp to my portable players/PC soundcard. Is this maybe the cable that I need or is other stuff required. I have an Audigy 2 ZS and my MP3 players are Samsung P2, T9, U2, iRiver T10 and an iPod shuffle 1st Gen. Please help!

just use an interconnect cable.. no biggy

plug one end to the amp, the other in the player, and the headphones plug into the amp

i dont think you can plug a portable amp into a soundcard though, unless it has the L and R on it

You can connect the output from a soundcard to an amp regardless of whether the output jack is 1/8" stereo or RCA.

And Pianist, yes, that's the kind of cable you need. It's called an interconnect (or IC) cable, and just as the name implies, it is used to connect two devices.
