I recently recieved 2 Gemeni XL-500 II and a mixer, the thing is... neither of the turntables have cartidges/needles.

I was searcing around the internet and found lots of cartridges for sale... the question I had was.. to all cartridges work with all turntables... or.. is there something specific I need to look for?

the standard cart for these kind of tables would be the Stanton 500AL or for better sound quality the 680EEE. Also try out heavier headshells as the ones fitted may be low quality. http://www.kabusa.com/ seems to be a leading supplier of DJ oriented kit in the US, so try there.
