Hi all,

Looking to connect a sub to a t-amp. The sub has high-level inputs but not outputs. So should I run a set of wires from the t-amp to the sub, and then a set of wires from the t-amp to the spakers? Will that be harmful to the t-amp? These are single driver, efficient speakers by the way.

Also, the sub is powered. Do I have to operate it powered or can I operate it unpowered?

Thanks for the help.

Hard to say whether the T-Amp will fry or not... You will have difficulty fitting two wires into one spring clip post, though. I've heard that powered subwoofers don't apply much load to an amplifier, so it may work.

Give it a try. If it doesn't work, you're only out $35.

i dont get how your going to hook this up? ok...
so your going to hook up the sub and the speakers to the output of the t amp?

what i suggest..
get a radio shack rca splitter and throw in on the back of your output from your source (if the source has rca outs..if not then do this with a 1/8 mini splitter) so you can have two sets of outputs from your source. throw one in the t amp and then hook in the speakers, then the output rca from the source to your sub's rca inputs. you might need adapters cause the t amp has a mini stereo in and the sub has rca, but the cheap gold adapters at rat shack are perfectly fine and wont degrade the sound.
after everything is connected then set the freq so the sub kicks in when your speakers fade out on the lows. what are you using as a source? cause volume matching might be tricky if there is no other volume control (cd or dvd player). if there is not volume control then set the subs volume to where your usually will have your t amps volume or maybe alittle lower then that to be safe for lower listening level. the sub should only do what your speakers cant in the low end so its not that you have to worry about boom boom type loud, and if you set the freq level to high then the sub and the speakers will do the same freq and sound like ****. and yes you will have to run the sub powered, no way will the t amp power it..you only have a good 4 watts on it the rest is distortion.

get me? or do you want me to draw it out? also whats your source and what brand speakers and model?

Cool box... Too bad it costs twice as much as the T-Amp itself.
