After several months of contemplation, I’ve decided to keep my Sennheiser HD 600 headphones, put on some new Dekoni leather ear pads, and possibly replace the cable.

I see that Dekoni offers cables for $120, while moon audio’s offerings range from $200 to $400, and Cardas, up to two times the value of the actual headphones.

Would love to hear from some HD 600 owners who’ve tried some or all of these and can give me a reasonable testimonial as to why they chose what they chose and the actual, audible enhancements that it brought.

Thanks!

I usually buy whatever cable is sold on eBay, for a low price ($60?).
What DAC/amp or sources do you plug your headphones into?

I've had to replace cables on several HD6xx and really like the Weishan cables for $18 on eBay for single ended, sound better than the stock Drop ones. For balanced Ive had several Hart cables, they never disappoint, also the quick connect system is handy to save wear on connectors if you have more than one device you use them for.
The only expensive cables I could really pick out the difference is the Hifiman crystal core cables. On the Ananda it was obvious that hifiman stock cables arent the best you can do.
