I was listening music with my He 560 and all suddenly the left driver just died... They are years now that I own them but still... I would like to replace them with other planars (possibly not hifiman...) what I can buy in the 500 range?

Sorry many of the worthy planars in the range new or used are HFM.

What did you like/not like about them? What things do you want most?
What do u listen too?
Would you do used?

They were my first planars and I like them because sounded so well Metal. Then i bought EDXS that I upgraded with Arya SE. I never ever had any issue with any headphone I had so this sudden death of a driver makes me very uncomfortable to buy another Hifiman. My first thought goes to Fiio FT5 , before the today issue I was considering to buy just because , Hifiman He6se v2 (I have a SMSL h400 amp).
I listen most of genres but mainly: rock, metal, classical, jazz, celtic, pop, hip hop and more
I would go for used only if belongs to Amazon warehouse because I feel more safe

How old was the 560? I’ve owned 14 HFM and never had one fail.

IMO the HE-6 SE is well better than the 560, and the current prices from HFM are very good. I favor the OG over the v2 for the headband.

Pretty long time... did you flip the cables, and other means to see if that was the issue. You could take them partially apart and see if the internal wiring worked loose too if you hadn't tried that.

I change cables, I change amp, but nothing, right one works, left one is dead. I start to be worried about my Arya SE and Sundara

10 years is pretty good. My experience with HFM’s is very good. I had a 5LE I sold to a friend and it’s 16 yrs old and going strong. I have a 500 that is 14 years old and it’s also fine.
