Hello all. I recently aquired the Hidiz S9 Pro and have to say I am very happy so far. I bought it though to be a portable and travel USB-C dac for home office and work office. The work office is where I seem to be having the issue.

With all other sources; Samsung Galaxy S20+, Galaxy tablet, Linux desktop, Win11 desktop, and Iphone this device is flawless. But when I use my Win10 work laptop I get clipping from the songs. Particularly bad too. Multiple clips/skips/feedback like interference per song.

The source files and media player are all the same, I have a Airsonic server available to all devices, the cable is the same used for all.
I've tried different USB ports, reinstalling the driver, no driver, using 3rd party mixer software and am at a loss. Total shame since this was the solution to having a simple dongle to go in my bag and be the goto device. I can obviously use my phone while at the office but didn't want that additional, constant drain, on my battery when I'm firmly planted in my office.

same problem here as well. I downloaded the driver from the website, I tried changing the bit rate as suggested. I've tried using different programs, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Spotify, web browser, media player. I've been able to get through a song without any skips a couple times. But I think it was just luck. It's worked just fine on my phone, but I agree with the battery saving, not to mention it was advertised to work with Windows.

I found that the problem with windows 11, in particular compatibility issue of the driver of S9 Pro + windows 11, had opportunity to check few times with windows 10 and the issue never happened, so i almost can conclude that the problem with windows 11 but not sure 100%

The problem is not with windows 11 ! Behavior of the Hidizs s9 pro doesn't change in windows 10. Checked it many times. Finally it seems I found the root of the problem. Cant claim on 100% but probability of the problem almost zero when my laptop connected to the power supply. So my guess that when my laptop works from battery something happening with the power of USB ports, and probably power is not enough for the dac. So now each time when i use s9 pro i have to use my laptop with connected power cable, but issue is gone!
