I just recently bought an R6 player and had a few questions about the SD card tray and SD cards. When you push the pin tool all the way in does the tray pop out? I have to wiggle it around to get it out.

Also I've tried inserting 2 brand new SD cards, but the R6 doesn't recognize (see) either of them. I know these are good cards. I'm assuming I would format them while inserted into the R6, but I can't since the device can't even see them.

When I try to remove the tray with card in, it's super difficult, so much so that I stopped trying to test different cards. Is there a trick to this? Did I get a defective unit?

Everything else works fine. I updated the R6 to Oreo as soon as I got it. Thanks in advance for the help!

This happened to me a couple years ago with the R6 SS.
Seems like the battery swelled inside the DAP pressing the PCB inside which misaligned the SD card tray in the PCD with the body opening. I couldn't insert a new SD card anymore.
I had to send the R6 to Hiby in Hong kong for repair. They replaced the battery with a brand new one. They did a very good job, the unit looked brand new afterwards.
My unit was out of warranty, but it was only $35 for the repair plus shipping. The whole process was slow, it took a little over 6 months from the moment I dropped the package at USPS until I got the R6 back in my hands.
