Every amp sounds different, but how much different is what I want to know, that way, it will be more helpful to you. You can have a ref on the sound of the DIY amp and then you can better understand how the RA-1 sounds in relation to it.

Please use the turntable. A weak source could skew things in favour of the lesser headphone.

Since the review is about different cans then the equipment used should not matter as long as it is kept the same throughout each audition.

The amp debate could be another review!
