Hi,

I am looking for rolled off treble headphones for long listening session (listen while working). Something forgiving for poor recordings and laid back.

Does anyone have experience with these? I know only the Meze 99 Classic.
Which ones from these 3 would have the most rolled off treble and the less sibilance?
meze 99 noir - dekoni blue - 177x go - HD6XX - K371

Thanks for your help.

I have the Meze Noir and HD 6XX, Meze definitively have less sibilance. They actually have the opposite problem with the stock pads. Bass is too boomy and tend cover the midrange. I replaced them with pleather fenestrated Brainwavz large round pads and now I really enjoy them. Very good details in midrange and high with no peaks, bass are sustained and prominent but not overwhelming anymore. Great sound. HD 6XX are more detailed for critical listening but much less fun factor.

Agree with giocass. I feel the following rank in terms of least sibilant to most from the 3 I’m familiar with.

Meze
HD6XX
177X

Overall I love the 6XX for critical listening, and feel the 177X is technically better than the Meze too… but for fun listening, the Meze 99 Classic is my desktop listener. But yea, it does have a bit more bass present, not overwhelming, but definitely feel it is more than the other two. My 2 cents :)
