Hegel Viking

I'm interested in hearing from any owners of the Hegel Viking; surprisingly, I can't see a thread here for it. If I have missed it, I offer my apologies.

I am keen to understand how the SQ is, both from the onboard AKM DAC, and as a CDT.

While I have heard Hegel Viking on 2 occasions it was always in speaker setup. I would like to know more about pairing it with headphone amps.

@George Hincapie as for the SQ and sound signature: transparent, clear, good instrument separation, a bit of AKM velvet sound with a bit of sparkle sometimes or small hint of brightness. Quite neutral but turning little bit towards cold than warm sound. That's from memory and some of my notes.

I'm really surprised there aren't any more posts to this topic.
