I bought an A700x because I thought having the same drivers as the AD700x would mean having the same soundstage and the same quality for competitive gaming. But according to many people here the difference is huge and that AD700x scores a 10 in competitive gaming while A700x scores a 6. Therefore I decided to either buy the AD700x or buy something similar in the same price range...
 
I have already considered MA900 and AD900x ... 
 
 
is it worth throwing more money at these two ? what other headphones are there that you recommend ?

Look into the Sennheiser HD558. Great soundstage, not bass heavy but good quality bass, nice balanced freq. resp.

that is what i guessed but people say the AD700(x)'s soundstage is way better than the Sens.
People also say that HD598 and Q701 do the same thing...
 
how would you rate the Sony MA900 ? I looked at Mad Lust envy's guide , he says they are comfortable, fun and very good for competitive gaming...many people say that it is comparable to the HD650 ? I guess it makes sense to add this to the bag of headphones that i already have ... ? no ?
