Let's see, since the HD 600 and HD 580 are supposed to sound, according to many users here at least, the same, why not sell the HD 580 and buy the HD 650? Not everyone will agree that the HD 650 sounds better than the HD 600, but I think at least the new version of the HD 650 does. At least you'd have two different-sounding, high-end headphones.

If you have a Mac, just buy an Apogee Duet and be done with it 

. I would argue that, for the money, it would be pretty difficult to beat, as a complete basic setup, a Mac + Apogee Duet + HD 650.

Don't have a Mac. PC, laptop, seperates hifi (Nad amp + cdplayer, quite a few years old now)
