So I ran into some hard times and sold off most of my collection except my modded dt1770 Go and my hd560s. As I’m rebuilding my man cave, I want some hifi headphones again, but the catch is I can’t EQ them due to me using them with my PS5.

Right now, I’m stuck between the Focal Hadenys, Ananda Nano as I’ve had them before, and the Meze 105 Aer.

I feel, without EQ, the 560s is lacking bass presence and slam that I miss from the Ananda Nano. However, I also feel the 560s is a little bit spicy that I don’t miss from the nano. If anyone could recommend an easy to drive headphone that has the bass slam and presence missing from the 560s, while toning down the zing, or could provide commentary on the headphones I’m stuck between, that would be great.

The AKG K371 sounds really good out of the box, easy to drive, and closed back privacy. On Amazon you can get a used Sound blaster X1 for $30 and it's PS5 compatible, EQ software included, and outputs 2.4v when it detects 120 ohm or higher. It's not great for low ohm though, but gives lots of options for demanding ones like the DT770 250ohm which I've used with it. It's supports a mic for headsets, and the Drop PC37X was fun for gaming.
