Saw a link to it the other day, thought it looked interesting.

Does anybody know anything about it?
I thought it might be nice for getting TOSlink out of my computer but I don't
know if it's going to be better than the onboard (a7n8x) or an AV-710 (haven't bought one, but am thinking about it)

Does this thing work as a sound card?

Seems like it's an analog to digital recording device. Then transmit digital to a DAC to be reconverted to analog again?

For $60 MSRP, save your pennies for a dedicated sound card.

Many of them have decent recording capabilities if that is what you want as well.
