just came across this website, mentioned elsewhere, and [like it or not] it's my conviction that many people, even and especially here on head-fi, would benefit from training their ears a lot more! the listener training software Harman How to Listen is available for free download; the beta software is available in both Mac OSX and Windows versions:
http://harmanhowtolisten.blogspot.com/2011/01/welcome-to-how-to-listen.html
as it says there: "Music samples included with How to Listen are provided by Bravura Records. These high resolution recordings from Bravura are recorded and mixed live as 24 bit/192 kHz files by the legendary recording engineering/producer Bill Schnee, who has been Grammy-nominated 11 times for Best Engineered Recording and has won twice for Aja andGaucho, both from Steely Dan."
the download is 118mb, so it's sizeable but while I wait for the download to finish, I guess that the four tracks are therefore either not included in hi-rez format, or only short clips. still, this should be worth people's while.
