I just got a Griffin Powermate and although I have to admit it's cool, I'm having a little trouble with the click+left/right functions.

It seems that when I hold it down and spin the wheel to the left or right, it not only does the click+left/right hotkeys, but it also does the click/long click hotkeys depending on how long you hold it.

Is this a software flaw or is this the way its supposed to be? Or do I just have a defective Powermate?

I have one of these. I got my first one sent back and replaced for free b/c my computer wouldn't recognise it as an interface device after a while. Figured it would be fixed after getting a brand new one and a fresh format which was necessary anyways. No luck as of yet, but I will admit that it was pretty nifty for the short time that i got it working!

Try adjusting the "Long Click Length" option. You can adjust it from .5 to 4 seconds.

no luck. It does change the time though. If I hold it down and turn left or right, but take less time than the set long click time, it does the click+turn command and the regular click command. If I take more time though, it does the click+turn command and the long click command. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

I just tested my hold down and turn function and it doesnt send a straight click command, so maybe you are having problems with your powermate.
