Okay folks, because the initial thread is stickied, some may not notice my update nor my most recent post.

Head over here

I'm updating the original post and also, I have a follow-up interview slated for Sunday morning.

My questions:

Are there any plans to do a second headphone for head-fiers that is no compromise sound wise, something akin to the high end dynamics out there(eg L3000, qualia etc) on the market at the moment?

What are your thoughts of competitors products? - any you've tried specifically to contrast to?

Grado as a company has been into vinyl cartridges, any plans or thoughts as to making a CD/SACD (or similar) player that has a unique grado sound?

(all I can think of for now)

My question is as follows:

I'd like to know Johns thoughts on possibly offering a "optional" leather headband for those who recently purchased the HF-1's. I know many who bought them would be interested in a more deluxe look for their new HF-1's.

Also, "Zanth" will you thank John on behalf of all us for the generosity he has shown "headfi" members by offering this very special limited headphone.

Q1. Any follow up information on the 'street style' headphones that mentioned in previous interview? (or was it the HF-1)

Q2. Please thank John for the HF-1

Q3. Is there plan of develop an headphone amplifier which is tuned to the Prestige product line?

Thank you,

i'd like to know how john feels about people's discomfort with his headphones... and also, what are there chances that he'll come out with a circumaural headphone? i feel a bit naked when the headphones are pressed against my ears (been using sennheisers up until i got my SR60)

Thanks a lot for doing this again!

My question: What kind of equalization is used when designing and voicing the Grados; is it free-field equalization or something else (e.g. just going by ear)?

Thanks Zanth!

1.Give him thanks for being so considerate as to thank us with this special headphone HF1

2. I'd also like to know what he thinks about the comfort issues

3. Why are all Grado's headphones based on the same general physical design? any plans to try something bigger or more complex? (not a wish, just a question

)

4. Why the forward sound signature? any thoughts on making something that might return to the hp1000 sort of recording style neutrality?

Once again, thank you zanth and thanks to all the rest of you for making this place what it is
