Hi,
I recently bought the Grado SR125. Seeing as the jack is 1/4", it does not fit into the normal MP3 output. Therefore I got a plug for the Grados that let it fit into the mp3 player. When using the plug, I have the problem that the left headphone only works. When plugging the headphones into any other source without the plug converter, the headphones work fine. What gets me is that I bought two of these plugs, and on both, the left headphone only works.
I can only conclude that the problem is with the plugs, but what can the problem be so I can find a solution?

Any comments would be helpful...

Thanks,
Struma

The right channel is the one closest to the base of the plug. If you aren't pushing it in all the way only the L channel will work. Try pushing it in all of the way.

You may already be doing this, just a suggestion.

I had the same problem.

I found that the problem was the plug. It's so amusing when I found that not all 1/8" plugs are made with same length. You can try to back the plug out a bit if you have the "Long version" of the plug. Otherwise, you might have a "short version" of the plug..... Try to test out the "Long version".

Good luck.

I recommend getting the grado adapter. I tried an adapter that came with a cheap pair of sony (i think) headphones and the sound quality dropped a huge amount. It obviously fits very well on the 1/8 side and on the 1/4 side.

How many bands are there on your 3.5mm plug? There should be three bands, Left Right and Ground. You want to make sure you didn't get a mono adaptor.

I agree. Sounds like you got two mono adapters.
