Definitely give the GH1 plenty of time too burn in.
They're are very neutral, smooth & polite sounding with a nice large sound stage (w/G).
As I mentioned, IMHO one of the best Grado's made.
I do hope GH1 doesn't get Too polite, because I'm loving how they're very up front and personal. Some girls are just that way, and there's absolutely No cause to complain.

I thought I'd let GH1 owners know that the new 'F-Cush' pads that ship with the Hemp, SR225x, and SR325x sound absolutely superb on the GH1, and in my opinion take them to another level altogether. They make for a much more 'linear' sound with more body to their mid-bass and lower mids while taking away a degree of 'shout'.

Sorry for reviving this thread after over two years, but I've got to say, I completely agree with you about the F pads on the GH1. They make a world of difference!
