I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro along with a ifi Zen DAC connected to my PC through usb.

Since im fairly new to "hifi" sound I thought I might ask if you have any suggestions of software and settings to get the best sound from my PC?

What software should I look into to playback my flac-files? Are there any sound settings in windows that I should look into?

All help and tips would be much appreciated!

Best regards

Generally ASIO drivers and if any playback application than can use it, direct control on DAC.
I like Windows Media Player (still exists on win10), but never found a way to have it using ASIO drivers.

What I never hear here are the DJ Softwares that can also play all file types, and there you can do a lot of changes; latency setting, bit output, etc.

Foobar and Mediamonkey are mostly recommended here.

I use Music Bee to play (wasapi) and it can be exclusive or shared. I use MediaMonkey to manage my library. MM can be the player as well, but I find MB easier (simple).
