I'm thinking about trying my hand at building my own headphone amp. I'd like to make a bottlehead crack and a pocket class A, but before I do that I'd like to start with something cheaper/easier. I've never soldered or worked with electronics before, so I want to do something simple that won't be too expensive if I mess it up. What is a good first amp for me to build? I was thinking about getting this kit because its dirt cheap: https://www.amazon.com/KKmoon-Headp...ywords=diy+amplifier+47&qid=1573451308&sr=8-1
but I'm also thinking about the JDS Labs CMoy kit. Experienced amp builders, how did you get your start? What project would you recommend to get into DIY audio electronics? Are there any particular resources I should be aware of for learning the required skills?
