Hi!

So I've done a few posts on what to buy for a new comer like myself and I've finally picked out the Fiio x5 2nd gen and the RHA - T20. Now if I'm correct I don't need any other device to make my music sound great for example an DAP/DAC? As the Fiio covers that and since I listen to a lot of different music I picked the RHA with their high quality sound and inter-changeable sets for different kind of listening I think they'll work nicely...right?

Now it's about the music files itself. Of course I have plenty of mp3 songs at different rates and I've also got a small FLAC collection. Is it alright for me just to copy and paste the files on the micro sd card and away I go? It seems to simple to be true haha also would it be a waste of time for me to get these items if most of my songs are mp3 to this date?

Any remarks you have whatsoever about what I've written please say I want to make sure I'm picking and doing the right things. Thank you and Merry Christmas! :D

TL:DR:

Fiio x5 + RHA - T20 = Nice pair?
Need any extra equipment?
Just drop and drag with files onto micro SD?
Still worth getting all this equipment to mainly listen to MP3?

Yes drag and drop and this is a bit overkill for mp3s but not much and if you start getting better quality files you will be set. Good luck and enjoy

Make sure you have the track tags on them correctly. Also, for multi-disc albums, what I do is to to use the same album title on all (instead of segregating by disc number) and then numbering the tracks so that the first track on the succeeding disc/s will take on the track number where the prior disc stopped. This means you can select one live album or one concept album and it plays continuously.

Also I have everything in neat Artist/Album folders in my computer to begin with, so if the firmware on any player has any issues, I can browse the contents of the microSD card like on Windows Explorer.
