Hi,
Recently I discovered the phenomenon Dolby Headphone. I was really impressed by it so I thought I might give it a try. First I tried PowerDVD (which has a decoder build in for Dolby Headphone). The problem with PowerDVD was that I couldn't get dxva to work. As a result, my CPU was fully utilized and couldn't handle the load.
After that, I decided to give MPC-HC a try (which's dxva has always worked well for me). I followed a guide (http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/405417/guide-dolby-headphone-in-mpc-zoom-player) but unsuccessfully. I added the Cyberlink Audio Decoder and blocked all the audio decoder filters I could block. Still, the internal AC3 Audio Decoder always shows up in the filter list when playing a movie, even though I unticked it. In order for Cyberlink Audio Decoder to work it should be the only audio decoder actively used.
So the solution can really be both ways... getting dxva to work with PowerDVD or getting the filter to work with MPC-HC (although I prefer the latter solution).
Hoping for some suggestions, thanks!
