Fostex-TH600 Looking for new amp

I need a new amp! I was looking at the schiit lyr 2, but am a bit worried about the output on it. My budget is $600 CAD (CAD is important). Right now my DAC is an Audiolab Q-Dac and my headphones are the Fostex TH-600s.

How is quality of sound when you drive your headphones through this DAC ?

I had the Schiit Lyr for my Fostex TH-900 and the noise floor was very audible. I don't know if that has changed for the Lyr 2. I sold my Lyr and got a Lake People amp. Much better now.
