They're ok, but the original is a little more fun than the more smoothed out sounding 2022 revision. Factory pads are extremely expensive too. I liked them, but it's not a life changing experience.
I prefer the Dan Clark Stealth in that price bracket. The noise isolation was like being in a booth at a studio. With a really silent noise floor like a Topping L30 II no detail escapes with a FLAC song that well recorded.
I heard these at last years Stereonet Hifi Show in melbourne (biggest show in Australia, unfortunately not headphone focussed by any stretch) I can’t remember the streamer amp they were using, but I believe naim (obviously). I wasn’t able to get any idea of the quality because the focal rep had a fixed list of songs loaded and the only one I knew was Disturbed Sound Of Silence - a great cover which sounds awesome on a large speaker system, not so much a pair of headphones. I did however choose to listen to the same song on the Diana MR, and preferred them on that song.
