yeah, I'd like at least 512mb and would prefer not to have to use awful software for loading songs (musicmatch, sonicstage, etc). Sound quality is also a priority.

used is cool as well

edit:limit is 200 now, got an offer on my awful discman

http://www.jetaudio.com/products/iaudio/5/ iaudio 5, good sound quality (based on the G3 which is basically the exact same as this thing) 512 is about 160. the Iaudio G3 is also a good choice but i just like the looks of the 5 alot better

Oh i'm also completely turned off to apple products now.

I might go for a shuffle, but normal ipods are out of the question (you can find them used for that cheap)

ouch your canadian that will make things more difficult. the iaudio 5 just came out not even a month ago so its difficult enough to find in the US. go for the G3, they should have them up in canada, they are basically the same except the 5 uses a AAA battery while the G3 uses onboard lithium-ion. i dont know about drag and drop to load but i know that i love jetaudio which is included with their players i think. jetaudio IMO is even better than itunes by a fair margin.

...sigh. i dont know too many other flash players. try doing a forum search for "flash player" or mabey "best flash player" and check the prices for any player you find.

You can't find the iaudio anywhere in canadian stores. best bet is having it shipped somewhere from the states.
From what I've heard though mentioned by others at this place, the iRiver flash based models, and well as the creative n200s are a good bet. But I think that varies from person to person as well.
I'm looking to pick up a muvo tx fm, just cause I can find it at a very good price (the 512 model). but that's not for nother few months or so.

iriver 795 [$140 at newegg]
or 799 [~$180 on ]www.pricegrabber.com] for 1gb. I have an iriver 390t and I love it. If i wanted another flash player, I would definitely get an iriver, with the iaudio as a second choice. I don't know if they would be harder to get in canada, though.

oh, and the iriver manager is very simple. straight drag and drop.

i'll also throw in the creative muvo n200 and muvo tx. both can be had for $170. i dont know anything about them, though.
