Flac--ACXO or DRC compatible?

Wow, very high abbreviation to post length ratio!

ACXO doesn't support FLAC yet. It depends on libsndfile which has FLAC support on its todo list. I have no idea about DRC.

I am not sure what you are asking for. I use DRC to generate a correction wav. of my room that can be used in the convolver compatible player of choice (F2k, Winamp, MM) during playback. The music can be of any format as far as I know. I have a collection of FLAC, APE, SHN and MP3 and have not experienced any convolver problems.

Sorry to bother but what is a correction wav? Does it change your music playback to meet the acoustic specifications of your room?

OK. So if I have FLAC and play via Foobar, the DRC via convolver WILL play that FLAC file and apply the room correction?

In my case, yes. There is quite a bit of material on the web regarding DRC (digital room correction) if you are further interested.

As others have pointed out, DRC isn't a playback mechanism, just a filter generation mechanism.

ACXO doesn't seem to support FLAC, but there is a fairly equivalent xover plugin that was recently made available for foobar. It apparently works with the convolver plugin, to give you everything you need via foobar. Plus, source is available which is something that always annoyed me about ACXO.

Ive only tried it with the normal eq plugin via asio to my emu 1820m, but have been happy with it so far.
