First impressions are very good, love the sound quality, hearing long repeated tracks like it's the first time.
Is the back plastic or aluminium?
I've seen reviews saying it's plastic but certainly feels like spark eroded aluminium.
My wishlist /feedback for the developers.
- Need to be able to read the CD number tags so multiple disc albums play correctly.
- Would be good to organise an artists work by year too.
- Increase the upper limit of the "idle power off" timer.
I'm using the X1 at work and frequently have to pause it to do something longer than 8 minutes and having to boot up again is a pain.
- To be able to plug it into a computer and not go into USB file transfer mode.
I can keep the power topped up then whilst at my desk listening to music.
- Increase file transfer time from the current 4.5mb/s limit.
