Hello,
 
After listening to my friend's custom headphones, I decided that I wanted a pair of my own.  So far I have just about everything I need to complete the build, except for a headband, rodblocks, and gimbals.  I've been struggling to find the headband assembly, and I am wondering if anyone knows of anywhere to purchase these items online?  Also any advice is welcome, here is what I got so far:
 
Drivers: Turbulent X Drivers 
Cups: Red Cedar cups made by 7keys
Earpads: Sennheiser hd414(gonna dye them black)
Headband: Beyerdynamic headband
For the cable I ordered a bunch of Kimber 4PR and the needed connectors, and then some cable braid and shrink-wrap.  
 
I'm also thinking about getting the FiiO E-18 or some other small DAC, any advice on this would be appreciated as well.

Maybe watch ebay for broken/non-working Grado 'phones?

I think I've also seen parts for aviation headsets that look like they might *possibly* be adapted - but I really have no idea if they would work.

Thanks for the advice.  It doesn't look like the Sennheiser one would work but I am checking to see if the aviation set is big enough to fit the cups, because if it is then it will definitely work for me.  I have been watching ebay for any busted sets, but every time I try and get something someone comes and snipes it out from under me at the last minute.
 
Any thoughts on the E-18 or any small DACs in general?
