After trying the DT 770's, HD598's, AKG Q701's, I finally got my DT 990 Pro Limited Editions in the mail and oh my lord do I love them. Their clear and crisp the bass is there, not as much as my 598's but close enough the mids are a little recessed but that's totally fine because they still sound great. I will be ordering the Silver ear pads as these black ones are actually not the same even though beyerdynamic says they are! I just wanna say thank you to everybody who has helped me along this journey! I'm glad I finally found a pair of cans I fell in love with and can't wait just to get off work to listen to them again! I just need to upgrade my power source so I can truly hear them!

Yeah I only have a sound blaster z sound card atm, I think with the right power source these will produce more vibrating bass than my 598's, 598's are super easy to drive so I think thats why they have a little more bass :)

I went Schiit Bifrost Multibit & Lyr 2 at home but on a budget the Magni 2/Modi 2 ($200) or the Uber variety ($300) would rock your world, and be good for years to come. I have the Uber stack at work for IEMs and love it equally.

Yep, USB to Modi, RCA (I use the Schiit 6" cables) from Modi to Magni, 1/8" headphone in to Magni. The Uber variants have more inputs on the Modi and more power + speaker pre-amps on the Magni.

I wonder if it would be noticable as far as the difference from my sound card. I wanna pick up a new microphone like an AT2020USB+ so I may hold off and use the soundcard for awhile
